College brings a new set of challenges. The Division of Academic and Student Affairs provides the building blocks during that first year to set students up for success.
- New Student Orientation helps students and families adjust to life on a university campus
- NC State’s Living and Learning Villages are designed around issues that impact students, and more than half of all incoming freshmen choose to call these immersive living communities their home away from home.
- See images from the ribbon-cutting for the Albright Entrepreneurs Living and Learning Village, made possible by a gift from Andy and Jane Albright.
- Students experience a smooth transition to college-level learning in the First Year Inquiry program: small, interactive classes that encourage critical thinking and innovation. Students who have taken just one First Year Inquiry class are found to earn higher GPAs by their junior year.
